**Major Duties**


* Manages the Flight Information Publications (FLIPs) accounts for the US Navy and US Marine Corps, this includes all ships, squadrons and shore side command
* Conducts inventory of products received during each cycle to ensure correct edition and quantity
* Initiates research actions on customer reports of late/short/missing shipments
* Determines the causes of discrepancies and makes or coordinates appropriate adjustments to correct inventory records and documents.
* Projects requirements for depot stocks and operations, determines types and quantities of line items necessary to meet programmed and authorized needs, and initiates appropriate method of procurement or re- supply
* Prepares and monitors supply and budget matters for the office
* Performs customer service duties to include but not limited to, provides guidance in determining items that best meet mission requirements



**Qualification Summary**

To qualify for a Supply Technician (OA), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: Conducting physical inventories Investigating stock/record/material discrepancies impacting inventory balances Preparing reports concerning results of investigations performed Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Demands: The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, recurring bending and lifting, crouching, stretching, walking, and lifting moderate to heavy items while unloading pallets of GGIS items. Moderate lifting (1-45 pounds) is required to process special receipts and issues. Some travel within CONUS might be required. Work Environment: The work environment includes everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms. Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, precautions in lifting, etc. The work area is adequately lighted and heated. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: The Incumbent must hold a valid SECRET clearance and provide clearance verification prior to employment.
